Don't let them die!

I am so incredibly behind on my GP. XP

I got another black rat snake hatchling (I can't keep Lotus, but I can.. nevermind) I am glad to have two precious snakies now. Pictures to come soon. For now, I am calling her Cookie; the name might stick. That story will come with the pictures.






I have decided to make hemp jewelry, and try and make enough money that my mother doesn't force me to work at Giant or Rite*Aid. I'm considering selling them to Lilly, to sell at Esoterica (any of you Esoterica folk think that's a possibility?).. I have several hippie-clothing-making people on my myspace, and some of them are going to promote.. People at achool have admired my hemp-age for quite some time.. I already have a possible buyer for 'Pele', and four custom orders.
I am (as of right now) doing OOAK and custom work. I am asking $20 for OOAK 14" anklets, and custom prices are dependent on the piece.

makes funny noises, twitches, and moves her mouth around when she sleeps. She's done it since she was a baby, and I've had her for 5 years, but it never gets old or uncute.. heehee.....
If she was a sphinx, I'd totally draw on her..

Barn swallows, that is. They totally FELL OUT of their nest today - too young to fledge. The two that survived the fall were severely dehydrated and are both COVERED in mites. Because of the dehydration and lack of my head being dive-bombed, I'm thinking something happened to the parents.
I looked up the mites online, and all the wildlife rehab websites said variations of "the mites need the bird's warmer temps and can't infest people" so they are now in a hamster cage under my snake's heat lamp. After changing the paper towels under the babies quite a bit, the mites seem to have mostly been thrown in the trash. I'm getting flea powder tomorrow at Wal-mart..
The larger one has finally started to perk up and beg for food - good sign. The smaller one is still resting, but I forced a few drops of water and a mealworm. If he survives the night, he should be well enough to eat tomorrow. The only thing I'm really worried about was their fall. It was about 10 down, right on concrete. =[
I'm going to keep posting updates, and get some pictures up tomorrow.

zach and i were sledding in the backyard at dads.
the ice is so thick and slick, you dont even need a sled. you can slide down on top of the ice, no problem at all. but zach and i were on these...






they are foam sleds, and the bottom is SUPER slippery.
so we were FLYING down this hill.
and at the bottom is a bunch of trees.
like..if you arent careful and know what youre doing, you will break your leg. but zach and i have been doing it since i was 7 and he was almost 5, so we know what we're doing.
so we were sledding down there for about an hour, and dad decides to "come and sled with us".
in other words, bug us and pretend to spend time with us.
well he has a crappy sled, and hadnt gone down the big hill yet (where the trees are). now before i go any further, i would like to say that dad was fully aware of the trees at the bottom of this hill, and how slippery the ice was..




so im like "hey dad; use THIS sled, its way better" (which it is) and i give him my foam sled. he sits on it, and zach gives him a push.
he goes FLYING, and then halfway down, he either loses the sled or tries to bail.
but its so slick, he keeps going....
and going.....and then *BAM!* slams into a tree..
so he starts cussing...saying "GOD DAMMIT!" about 10 times.
and zach and i were at the top of the hill, laughing our asses off.







aftermath of the sled incident..
dad stomped up the hill and was yelling, but all we said was "you knew the ice was slick, and you knew there were trees"..that shut him up.
it was sorta mean, but hey; hes an asshole.

now that i write this, i feel like a bitch...oh well XD
